We spent countless hours on the beach day and night creating memories that are now priceless
Working with ASVO at Playa Buena Vista in Samara was truly a life changing experience for a 19 year old college student studying science and exploring the vast sea of opportunities available.
It was like a tropical paradise
My time at Quelonios was AMAZING.  It was like a tropical paradise.  Waking up to the sound of the ocean.
Volunteering makes me feel part of the solution!
I fall in love more and more of this beautiful country and its people!
I feel full or satisfied with the work done! and spiritually full of great energies!
CR because that´s one of the most beautiful countries in the world
Hello! I'm Arjan from Holland. I'm 44 years old and in January  I went to Costa Rica to spend my holiday on a different way like I usually do..  I chose CR because that´s one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
The time there was another dimension
I was in Quelonios del Caribe Station for two weeks, it was a pretty isolated place, 30 minutes by car and 30 minutes by boat.
I wanted to see Costa Rica and do something to help
I volunteered for the turtle conservation project on a remote beach called Buena Vista, near the town of Samara.
I learned about the nesting routine of sea turtles
I learned about the nesting routine of sea turtles and saw a turtle lay her eggs and bury them. I was able to see how the biologists count the eggs, move them to a safe location away from proachers, and tag the turtles before they return to sea. I also learned how live without any amenities!
The best things I´ve ever done in my life
Well, going to volunteer in Costa Rica was one of the best things I´ve ever done in my life. Back at home I am a massage therapist in Cincinnati Ohio, 22 yrs old, very interested in using what I´ve got to bring goodness to others.
